Oh my god! After getting a whole new MSD box I hooked it all back up JUST like the MSD book shows. Well, what do you know....... same crap! Won't start. After going over EVERYTHING again my friend just started hooking stuff up backwards! When he said hook up the distributor wires backwards I said NO WAY! After about ten minuets of saying no I did it anyways and it fired right up! Runs GREAT! What gives? I guess the MSD book is wrong. Has anybody else had this kind of trouble hooking up there MSD box to a Duraspark 2 using the box as the module? Crazy stuff! Oh well I am just happy to have it hooked up and working! Just though I would tell you guys.

Glad you got it up and running Dan!
Notice any difference?? Mine starts a lot easier and I got rid of that pesky miss above 5800 rpm's

Once I got my spliced (duraspark) connectors sorted out  It wired up exactly as shown in the instructions.....I did order the duraspark adapter though.

Well...I had problems with my Digital 6+, but it was because the marriage spliced they provided were too big for any of the wires, so it wasn't making a connection.

But I wired mine to my pertronix...Instructions were right.

I really have not got to drive it any. I just drove it back to my house from down the road the other night. It starts a lot faster and seems to have a TON more response when you hit the gass. I have not got to mash on it any yet or spray it but I know it will help with the nitrous and the up and coming turbo. I sleep better knowing it is on there and I got to get rid of the GM module I had. That was only supposed to be on there untill I got a MSD box. That goofy stuff has been on there for two years now! MAN I am lazy! Doug you would be proud of me.....I have fixed a lot of little rigged up stuff and nasty wiring under the hood. It looks a lot better now. 8) Now if I can just figure out how to keep it as clean as yours!............naaa........no way that will EVER happen.

Yea, that is the one we used. Had it hooked it up JUST like that! After we went over and over it we just started hooking stuff up wrong! We hooked the violet into the violet and the green into the orange wire and it works fine! I don't know you tell me. Crazy.

Dan,

Just to add...I just put my MSD Digital 6+ hooked up to a DS2. I hooked up Violet to Orange, Green to Violet, and it works great.

Maybe you DS2 or MSD made a mix up with wires. Never know.
