Where is that list of head casting numbers that match the 200 block. i'm looking to purchase a 250 head to modify into a triple weber ich and an offenhauser manifold. In the meantime I'm running the MSD and headers and t-5, and 3.55 rear. This car wants to move and does move. Cruises at around 60 mph at 1700 rpm in 5th(overdrive). Great acceleration through 5000 rpm haven't checked the top speed yet but been up to 70-75mph. I want to modify the new head first then just drop it in after the port and polish, offy and the three webers.

Also, Who's used the 4 bolt adapter disc brakes and dual master? I will be doing that upgrade next as the drums are becoming worn and it needs new shoes.

You will need to be very careful to order an Offenhauser 1X3 adaptor kit to fit a specific head. Clifford may be the best source of information on this one. The C9XX-M head is the first of the flat-top logs. This head has 1.69" intakes and no hardened seats. It does have a 1.75" carb hole. Other late model heads that have the flat-topped log are D5XX-BA, and D7XX-AB. There may be others too, but I know of these for sure.

The D7 and later will have 1.75" intakes and hard seats.

If Clifford had an Offy kit that fits the D7, D8 or EO, that's the one I'd go for.

thanks I knew there was a round(early) and the flat log (later) but I am looking around here for my Falcon performance book. They did make a compatable head up to 1980 that fits the 66 200. ???

Check out the sticky at the top of this forum.

Any late model 200/250 will be compatible with your '66 200. You just have to be sure to compensate for the differences in chamber volume and the thicker composite head gasket you'll use.
