Head Install Issues, pushrods

I'm finally putting in my OZ head and I'm running into trouble, maybe? While tightening down the rocker assembly, the pushrods keep popping out from under the rockers. Four times putting a head in the car and this is a first. Could be a fluke. The head was milled but not enough to cause any kind of problems with the rockers. I'm a little nervous because
I don't want to screw it up. Is this something that is normal and I've been lucky in the past?

Fixed...maybe I just don't remember it happening before when I was doing head swaps?

8) when you tighten the rocker arm shaft, are you starting at the center and working your way out? and are you tightening the bolts down in steps?

Yup and yup. I got it on, just wierd that they were slipping out like that. It was getting dark and I was bouncing between giving candy and trying to get it semi buttoned up before rain came. I guess it was my "not being focused on the task" causing it. :roll: Thanks for the help guys, moving on....
