Hi boys, my name is Martin, i have it a Ford Falcon Futura SP 1973
My idea is mounted a turbo in the inline six is 221 ci, a small block six cylinder. I have it a Megasquirt MS Pro, recently bought, a spirnt Argentine cylinder head in alumiun, i go to used a Carrillo or Eagle conecting roods, forged piston, single trothel bodie, etc.
My question is that, how many horse power can handdel the 6 inline?? thast is my big question, i saw here very strong engines 500 hp plus, is not a crossflow cylinder head but, is a very nice cylinder head, the turbo very probably a Master Power Super 70, really big, about the desplacement any ideas? 3 lts and up? any ideas? tanks for the help, great forum.

Good internals (rods, crank and connecting rods), a correct rebuild with ARP bolts and studs these engines are really strong. I would think 300 to 400 horse power is possible with the right parts.

The Mega Squirt is a fun idea, and there are 2 on going projects here with the mega squirt unit. Use the search and you should be able to find them.

Your english is pretty good, better than most other forums english speaking users!!

pero, mis espanol esta muy mal. No yo habla en muchas anos.

welcome to the board!

Funky tu español esta muy bien.
I tell you something, in my conuntry exist 6 in line Flacons whit 380 400 hp natural aspirated, no NOS, no TURBO.
The Mega i think it is a good idea, teh software is extremely complete 8) 8) .
I go to used ARP on the cylinder head and on the bottom of the engine.
I ready the block cna handeel 600 hp, but nobody in my country try to push to limit these engine, exist a couples of turbo, but is not work really good :? :?
Any ideas for the rest of the forum?

Hello Martin, WELCOME !
mi habla poquito espanol ,

I'm thinking 4oo hp is pushing the (reliable)limit. 2HP/CI

"I read the block can handle 600 hp, but nobody in my country is trying to push to limit on these engines, except a couple of turbos, but they are not working very good "

600!
Not in anything that would be daily drivable, and I think it would not last very long. The engines are tough, but 400-450 HP on the small block inline 6 I think is the limit for reliable daily power.

I may be wrong, but I think pushing 600 HP would be too much for a long life motor, they were never engineered for that kind of abuse.

I think it will be interesting to see how much HP you can make with such a wild combination, just make sure to report to us details WITH PICUTRES!! :)

Tanks guys...jejej is not only me talk spanish there :) :)
Tanks for the welcome. Yes Funky not 600 for dayly driver, 400 450 max, whit 20 to 25 psi, waht do you think?
Is true i forgot the pictures, the car is actually in the body workshop, is all in partas around...a lot of rust everywhere
I put a link, for a spanish forum, and you can see all the elements i bougth for my car, and my car too :) :)

The idea is used 12 inyectors, 6 for run in low plus 6 more to run in high pressure, but is the begging just the beging, at now is neccesary put all these parts together :D :D

Aussie guys can get that sort of power out of the 200ci crossflows, and more from the OHC sixes.
I would say your 221 block and crank will take the load, and youve already got your piston con rod sorted out. The alloy Argentine head should flow as well as a crossflow so I cant see any reason why you shouldnt suceed.
If you follow some searching on Youtube for turbo falcons youll find some intersting stuff. Also search for errol Quartermaine at kwinana raceway and youll see a 8.1 sec turbo falcon powered car.

Tanks a lot, for that information Aussie.
My cylinder head is like the alloy Spirnt cylinder head in Argentine, but in aluminion and the exausth port is much bigger included is you tuned to the maxium the alloy, plus bigger valves.
Is a very nice information you give me, about the block and the crankshaft
I saw the videos, is insane the Falcon engine 24v whit 1400 hp, is amazing, incredible.
I not so sure about the cubic desplacement i go toi used, but arround 3000 cc 3200cc. more RPM, arund 8000, thats i expected.
