I'm sure this has been covered here before, but..... Which would be better for a daily driver? I want the offy, but I'm not sure if it's the best choice form a reliability standpoint. It seems like the two barrel adapter wouldn't work as well, since the head is so restricted below where the adapter would bolt on. Any thoughts?

The Offy will give you better performance, though at a price. It isn't the best set up for a daily driver. IT's not so much reliability as much as it is hard to push the gas pedal (at least mine) with all the return springs for the carbs.

I am experimenting with a Vacuum operated set up for the Offy since I'm taking it off of my car in favor of the Aussie 2V. I was having the same dilema as you. I started realizing as I was finishing the Offy project that it wasn't going to be the easiest to drive and maintain. But since I was about 80% done, I figured I might as well finish it.

I went with the Holley-Weber 5200 (26/27 & 270cfm) on my 200 with 1.5" carb bore head for this same reasons. Car pulls 231cfm @ 5000 (stock cam - 80% VE). Carb / bore area is good match at 1.77 / 1.77. Very happy with the results
.

Thats the rub. A 1.5" hole head has about 1.767 sq inches of area, the carb has 1.710" of venturi. So the carb to intake is quite okay. A later (post 1978?) 1.75" diameter intake log head has 2.405 square inches of area, enough for the 2.215" of venturi area from a 350 Holley#2300.

The 1.75 inch head never made it to the Antipodes. There you go, on a platter, Ford gave you the best halfway house between a 2V and the early log.

Whats the venturi size of each of the Triple Weber IC combo?
