Hi,

I need some opinions...
I'm rebuilding a 200CI '80 block to replace my original '65 stock 200 for my ranchero.
I was thinking wich carb I've to choose (I prefer Holley, but wich one?5200,2300,300cfm,500cfm?...) + I'm living in Belgium, an idea where I can order this carb (e-bay?)

My mod's:(done or in progress  )
-block decked to CR 9,5:1
-head fully ported and polished (that's already done, lucky me :D )

-4angel valveseats job
-dual out headers 2"
-270 high lift cam

Tnx in advance

You should be able to use a carb smaller than the 500. I think 390 is the next step down.

Are there any auto parts stores or speed shops in your area? They can get you the carb.

Jim

Either the 2300 350 or the 5200. the 2300 350CFM 2V from holley is an all around great carb.

I'm sure there are places to get Holley's over there. Ask the66mustang. He's out in Holland. He may be able to hook you up.

HOwever, another good, solid carb is an Autolite 2100. I'd say with those mods, try to find either a 1.08 venturi or 1.14 venturi.

Thx for the info,
I've pm-ed Harrie (the 66mustang). I think I will go for the 2300.

Tnx.

the autolite 2100 isnt prgressive...i dont think. your gas milage will suffer.

Where are you getting gas that cheap?!?!? Put some in an envelope and mail it out to Cali. Low grade is pushing $2.599 where I live. :help:

Just a silly question..... how much litres is a gallon?
Here in Belgium I pay $1,728 /litre for regular.

wooooow  .....that's about $0,48 /litre that was the price in Belgium 30 years ago!
I gonna leave Belgium and buy a house in the States.
