holley carb on '53 215 question

Hi all,

Had the carb off my Customline; sat apart for a few days while I bushed the throttle shafts and did other things in the shop... I know, I know, that's a great way to have a problem going back together. :bang:

Here's the question: there was a little plastic check ball that came out of the carb; I can't remember where it goes. Unfortunately, the exploded diagram that came with the (sixty-five dollar!) carb kit only shows the 2 steel check balls for the accelerator pump circuit in the metering block.

Anyone remember where the darn thing goes? 'Cause, it seems to be a necessary paart - the idle circuit won't work now. And, I can't for the life of me remember where I took the original one out of.

TIA!

Go to http://www.tocmp.com/ It has a lot of older manuals. There is a downloadable and printable article on the Holley 1904 as used by IHC. That's what I did when I was looking for info on the 1904. Here is Holley website you might search around on http://www.holley.com/TechService/Library.asp to possibly find a breakdown. Here is another one which may or may not be helpful http://www.carburetor.ca/ I have not used this site, just ran across it and bookmarked it, at the top of the page there is a area about manuals but I haven't looked. Hope all this is a little help.
