Good find. 400 plus shipping 75 is not unreasonable considering scarcity but make an offer for sure. Also a set of Cyclone long tubes on ebay.

I’m wondering if the hooker or cyclone are tuned. By this I mean are the combos
of tubes gathered (grouped) ina way condusive to performance (firing order).
Example:

we just finished upa diy header for a 4 cyl (actually the turbo out put). After a look
we saw that this had not been attended to and would actually harm performance.
Hada switch it around. A pain but not too challanging. Boss (builder) is ALL ways
ina rush, un-organized (infact much of my wrk is to attend to results of that).

w/3.3L?
Look to the stang forums of early ‘80s.
That would B 3rd gen ’79/94 no? Just the 1st 3 yrs.
Also Fairmont/ Zepher lines (probably most useful), and other
fox bodied (hi end not grenade-a) like MarkXXXXXX, Cougar, Bird.
Even my model the ltd ’83/6 or ur own. Trouble is this is a transitional
period. The motor could B found in many models, it just not easy to find
those models.
4eyed pride .com may prove usefull as 1 (I got a lill there). GL w/the S

Did you buy yours new? I recently bought a 6823 (for a 240/300) and right now I am having 'discussions' with Hooker on a return. With one end of the flange down a flat surface the other end sticks up a full 1/2" Can I fix it?, probably can. But for $870+tax I don't feel like I should have to. How did yours fit?

To have gotten that much bow it seems like the welder welded the center 2 pieces of pipe first, then 2 & 5, with 1 & 6 being done last. I am just curious if all of the Hooker straight 6 stuff is problematic. Heaven help the guy who bought one for a Buick straight 8.

Hi Allen...I just now saw this post of yours....geez. Anyway, I did not buy this one new but it fit perfectly.

What riled me the most was after I bought them I find that most of the more common headers are now made in China (as were mine). But mine are in the $900 range while the others (as I recall) are in the $300 range. Not only was the flange bent 1/2", it was twisted. I wound up taking them to a fabricator friend who had a big large 1/2" thick table and with a rosebud and long wrench he got them mostly straight. Did not even get the common vinyl decals that are about 3x9 I got some afterthought 3/4x1.5 decals. I remember buying Hooker in 1972 for a small block Barracuda I had bought new and they fit fine. But when I went to their hot line I only got a comment that they had difficulty understanding my complaint. I will admit I had not proof read my complaint to them and it did not make sense so I rewrote it. After that, crickets. Glad you got a good product but Hooker never again for me.

I too expect better (ol skol)
and just dont get it (in hand or ‘get it’ in mind).

Welcome to "the 20’s" AC...
