How does 6 = 8 on a V8 REV LIMITER?

The Pertronix "Ignitor III" HEI module has built in REV Limiter. The module is able to be set from 4000 to 9000 RPM limit.
.
BUT
- the limiter is designed for V8 not selectable like a Tachometer. Both a Tach and Rev Limiter simply count number of Plug Firings to calculate RPM.
.
THEN - If the Rev Limiter is set for 4K RPM LImit for the V8 plugs firing count , at what RPM will the SIX Plug Firing Count match the number of Plug Firing of the setting for V8- 4K Limit?.
.
.
This has been confounding me since realizing the Pertronix module has no provision for alternates to V8 like the 4/6/8 switch on a cheap Tach.'.

I was thinking set it at a low rpm, and see where it starts limiting the rpm, then work up to where you want it.
