ive never seen one before so i dunno if its a rare find just wondering if its worth anything or if i should have thrown it on the trailer ??

I think it's the one I'm looking for. Do you have a fax? I can shoot some measurements and a sketch through tomorrow morning. Forgotten how dirty they get!

Thanks, Adam.

nar no fax sorry umm no easy way to receive a fax either so im all outta ideas

Looks a bit different now. Hot water and sugar soap; gave it a good scrub. Then, hot caustic bath for a day. Rotary wire brushed, and phosphated.

I masked off the gearbox mount area to maintain metal-metal alignment. Paint is POR-15 silver - 2 brushed coats inside, 2 brushed coats outside, plus a light sprayed one.

Time to talk to xdee about a good used E-series clutch?

What's the difference? Don't say 4mm; I know that much. But mounting requirements, depth, all that type of stuff? Going (for now) behind an XR 200.

Ummm, no, I'd say 14 mm.

You need the right flywheel unless you want to piss around with pcd and drill and tap holes. If you don't centre the p/p properly your balance will be out, which isn't a major issue. It can be balanced, but it also opens the possibility of destroying throw out bearings due to the eccentric runout. The biggest benefit apart from larger surface area is they are 6 bolt mounted. The XR's and AU's also had positioning dowells. Depth same as any other Ford 6. What will be driving it eventually after the 200?

.

A mild 221, possibly bicarbureted will be the eventual propulsion. Got my eyes on a Centerforce twin plate clutch in the longer term.

Have two uncut flywheels, and drilling/dowelling a new PCD isn't out of the question. I can't just slap on a later flywheel because the crank bolts are on a different centre. In the unspecified short medium term, I need it to work behind the 200 but that will mainly be just moving the car around - the XP is unreg and rusty...

This is the only "dimensioned" picture I have at present.
