I finally did it...placed an order to clifford...head news

Well, I finally had to order a part from Clifford. The port divider. Autokrafters didn't have it in stock, so I know they were ordering it from clifford and shipping it, so I cut out the middle man. I'll let you know when I get it.

I asked about the new aluminum head. It is supposed to be a crossflow. But it is still about a year away from being produced. Apparantly, they are hoping to have the design done by spring, and then ready for production by the following spring (2005).

I need one now! I'm working right now on a 250-2v head purchase. If that falls through I'll have to modify the stock log head for my wife's turbo Falcon ('63 US Falcon) with a 250/C4 combo.

just a quick question: is the crossflow aluminum head the same as the aussie 250 head(just new) or is it a totally different design? could somebody run down the specs for each of them? thanks

Crossflow is like Jack's:

The Aussie 250 2V head is this:

The key difference, is that crossflow means the air intake is on the opposite side of the exhaust headers. Our logs and the Aussie 250/2V has the intake manifold and the exhaust ports on the same side.

Well if you can't score a 2V you can just get the ME. I have a feeling
