The springs are yellow, the struts appear red:



Rear springs have the shackle eye reversed, compared to a '60s/'70s Falcon. Tyres rub on the front guards cornering hard or under load.

Anyone know or want to punt on the suspension being aftermarket?

Xr6 struts were usually yellow.. THey look like pedders shortend struts with stock xr6 springs.. THe pedders struts have the spring saddle lower so the car sits lower but doesnt loose ride quality... just a gues though
 
Thanks! What about the rear springs? Any ideas?

The car is 3rd hand, so while names like Pedders were waved around by the last seller, he wasn't a car person and couldn't be specific.
 
pedders springs are normally red.... being yellow id say they are KING springs addo.

As for the rear i wouldnt know...never had my head under a AU ute before sorry but i definatly reakon the fronts are KING springs not pedders... hope this helps

OH, btw... sometimes you might be lucky to find the white sticker tag on the springs, when i had king springs they had the sticker tag on them
 
Do the rears have lowering blocks?
Turning the springs upside down reverses the travel of force. Trys to pull the tray to the ground instead of keeping it above water if that makes sence. Not a great idea though, but effective.
All Pedders springs ive seen are red. Thats sportsryder anyway. Pedders comfort shocks are yellow so posibly so are their comfort springs.
