No, because it has wider bore spacings. Some have said 4.75, but I'd say 4.375" is more likely.


There is a thread on it. Jack looked at it, and Big Al had some discussions back in October 2002. This was when the boy went loose with his SawzAll, and showed us what an Port on Port I6 looks like by hacking his Log head to bits...evil beggar....
 
I checked a 4.0 head to a 258 block swap earlyer and it said that the bore was 98.4mm and I put it onto a metric to standard conversion calculator and it sayed 3.87402 inches, and that it added 40 horsepower and 3-5 miles per allon.

I trust your judgement and you are probably wright, this is just what I found.
