having put the mustang in prime and ready for the topcoat and new windshield, lil bro said lets fire up the bucket and get ready for the digs. a charge and some fresh cam 2 and we were cranking after a long winters nap, it lit up great and then.... i have coolant springing from under the header and steam pouring out the back freeze plug. fecal matter! well i guess i'm pulling the head tomorrow, found rust in the lower rad hose too. need to run a water stabilizer, can't run antifreeze!!! poop!

started at 11am and 11:50 had the head on the bench. all the freeze plugs in the block are brass and fine, however the cyl head ones are 3 years old, steel and rotten. i'm thinking well water, heavy in iron. i'm thinking maybe installing screw in plugs, 3/4 pipe, in the wells under the exhaust, and a brass one in the back. the block and head needs flushing too. had a victor gasket, but may go to felpro, now go figure!
