Leaks, leaks leaks

I am starting to think our engines just drain fluids all over the floor in their natural state. It is either that, or I am not able to seal anything up when I work on it.

My C4 leaks are documented in another thread, but I also have coolant leaks and PS leaks too. Well, Friday I decided to attack the coolant leak. It has been dribbling coolant for years (not much just a small desert plate sized wet spot under the water pump, but recently the pump started squealing like crazy. I picked up the new pump and got it installing in a couple of hours. The squeal is gone and it is holding temperature way better (now it never goes above 150 unless I let it sit and idle for about 15 minutes and now it still won't overheat anymore).

However, that damn leak is still there in the exact same spot. Is there something I am doing wrong?

I did use RTV (left over Right Stuff from my attempt to seal the C4 pan)on the gaskets, but not on the bolts themselves. I also made sure to do a good job cleaning up the old gasket from the surfaces to make sure they were clean and flat.

The problem is that with the pulleys, fans and belts, it is hard to see down in where the leak is coming from. I can't tell if it is the water neck or the water pump itself.

I forgot to put some goop on the water pump bolts; I R&R'd them one at a time and put a little Right Stuff on the threads and torqued them back down.

That did it?

I was thinking of borrowing a coolant system pressure tester from Autozone in the next couple of days to see if I can find it, but I will keep that in mind.
