linkage issues, converting to cable throttle

If you do a search you'll find that most people went with a mid '70s Fairmont pedal and cable.
I got an Maverick cabel pedal and used a Lokar cable. I had to custom fabricate a bracket for the H/W 5200 and also for the Holley 2300 I just installed, but overall it was very easy and works great.

well the prob is i have the stovebolt adapter without the ford adapter for clearance issues. and it is on the angle. and i tried for two days with mech linkage. but my uncle is a tool and die and is going to make me up a 1/4 inch adapter plate in place of the ford adapter. to put the linkage on the side of the engine. cable still sounds good so i will c
 
I realize cable linkage is sometimes the easy wasy out, but check my post again where you can use the original throttle lever from the six cylinder. I used a 80 head but the same flat stock can be used on an earlier head. Its your choice. Take a look & only you can make the final desision. William :idea: :idea: :?:
