Load-O-Matic Distributor Spark Advance Valve question

I have a 1961, 144 cui. engine, with a Holley 1909 carburator.

I have noticed that my ignition timing advance reacts too quickly, and I
suspect the Spark Advance control valve on the carburator is not up to
spec.

I do have a new Spark control valve from a rebuild kit for an Autolite
carburator CFOF-F, a carburator typically found on a Ford Mustang 200
cui. engine.

Question: Is the spark control valve the same for a Holley 1909 Carb.
vs. an Autolite CFOF-F??? They look exactly the same, but I'm not sure
if there is some internal differences.

Any input on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've never seen a difference noted, but that doesn't count for much! Are you able to increase return spring tension slightly (or renew it), to see if that changes the outcome?

Thanks for the reply, but I may have been ahead of myself:

My distributor vacuum advance diaphram was blown on the car when I
bought it. So, I went to NAPA and they sold me one for about $17.00 -
that was last year, before their web-site was functional.

Yesterday, I went on their site, and under 1961 Falcon, they listed a
dist. vac. dia. NAPA Part number ECHVC915. That is what they sold
me last year - but their site now says, FOR MANUAL TRANSMISSION
ONLY. I have an automatic transmission, and they have no part listed
for a 61 Falcon w/automatic transmission.

I may have the wrong Vacuum Diaphram on my engine.

To further compicate things, I looked under 1965 Mustang. w/ 200 cui.,
NAPA listes the same part, but does not say for Manual transmission
only - lists same part for both manual or automatic transmission.

Anyone know anymore on this? Greatly appreciated, again.
