Ok so when i left for colorado from Cali. i checked my vac using my vac gague and it was in the "green" range (proper running engine) Well i get up here and suddenly the engine starts dieing randomly, idle or 4k Rpm's it dosent matter. I tear through the carb thinking it's a fuel problem.

Well im about to chuck my carb off a cliff when i get this stroke of genious - maby it's the spark? ya wouldnt ya know the positive lead to the coil had wiggled a little loose and wasnt giving a good connection.

so i decide to go through and check everything - but the Vac is low, according to the gauge its "late timeing" but the timeing is fine. i played with the timeing, mix, idle, everyhting i could think of. It seems to run just like before without a problem but im worried about the low vac pressure...

Maby it's the dfference it altitude form sea level?
any ideas?

It may well be the altitude. Your car is now running richer and could use more advance on the spark than at sea level. A retune will probably cure most of that.
