Any one tried? Aluminum block, aftermarket 460 aluminum head. Billet crank from Ro-Dy and a custom cam, a 336CI with stock specs and room for more crank. 375-400CI and a good flowing head should make one of the nastier inlines?

Sounds like a plan to burn through a LOT of money making a custom crank and cam and all those fun things.

I'm building a Merc 470 for me Ford Escort. I was unaware anyone made custom cranks for it though.

If you call some of the companys that make cranks They will make one,....although you might get a better deal on buying them in sets of 3 or 4 unless they are just going to cut one out of billet.
Considering The cubes you can get out of a stock 460 block This would be one BIG Gasoline Six.

When I was at Batten, he had some billet V12 cranks made up. Just give the nice guys your credit card info and wait for UPS :)

Even as a 4, it could be a strong runner. Offset grind the crank for "those" rod journals, 250 easy inches would scoot.
