Moved my shifter!

The one thing that bothered me about the T5 was the akward shifting position. Too far away for comfort with the standard shifter.

Then I saw MustangsPlus selling a new kind of shifter which moved the position 10 inches to the rear and decreased the travel between gear positions by more than half.

I installed it and worked great, but I was not happy with the whole bulky mechanism showing. So I made a console that covers it up. Now I have something that I am really satisfied with. It is within normal reach without contortions, smooth short shifts and a whole GT atmosphere inside the cockpit. A little bit of work but worth it to me.

Good idea with the console! I like that Mustangs Plus shifter too, but I wasn't too crazy about the linkage stuff showing, or drilling extra holes in the tranny hump and stuff, but it looks good covered with that console!
