MSD and Tachometers

Dose any one out there have any experience with trying to use a tach with the MSD. This is race week at Pacific Raceways here in the Northwest. I am suppose to be at the track but the new Trans Am car I just wired doesn’t have a working tach and I am here on the web looking for an answer. The MSD site says I need an adapter if you’re going to use a Stewart Warner which of course we are. The output of the MSD is a 12V square wave signal.

Ideas?

I plugged mine directly into the Tach output on the MSD box itself, But my tach is a Autometer with a MSD 6A box

This is the same series, a 6AL. The guys I did the wiring for have used this same combination before without the need for the adapter. I was just looking for any additional info I could fine.
