wow!!!! threw in the msd tonight at midnight in the driveway. took about 30 minutes, 20 of that deciding where to mount the damn thing. holy cow, what a difference, power from the jump is incredible, no more stutter off the line and around corners, acceleration feels real solid. bought the msd6al cause i was hot in the pants to buy it at 8pm and pep boys didnt have the regular msd6a. well worth the 230$ imho. cant wait to get my exhaust in, wish i put the car on the dyno when i bought it to see the performance gains i am seeing. i am having so much fun with this stuff :) :D

very cool, i also just got my recurved DSII from reincarnation automotive and msd6 running last night. i got some tuning to do still, but it is much smoother nad more power. i can't get it to ping yet, so i'm going to play with timing today. what are you running for spark plugs? i got autolite 46 gapped at about 0.050". also, what dizzy are you using? hook up the vacuum advance, or leave it off? i left mine off for now, but still searching these posts for advice on whether to hook it up, and to manifold or ported vacuum.

good luck.....

Yep, I'm lovin' my MSD 6AL as well. The Pertronix upgrade was nice for smoothing out the idle and of course getting rid of the points-related maintenance, but it took the MSD and a good coil to really bump up performance.
