This is the control box i was talking about. much cheaper than the 6A. will this one work with the DSII

Per Summit catalog: Crane HI-6S $143. Mallory HyFire 6a $150. Summit Street & Strip $130 (PN 850602) MSD 6a $190. ACCEL 300+ $190...all plus shipping.

Do some shopping on eBay. I obtained my Mallory with shipping included for just a little under $150.

Looks like a good ignition box. Should work great with a DS dizzy triggering it.

I like the built-in rev limiter.

If you are shopping price the decision should not be too difficult since any of those units will work.

8) pretty much all the the current aftermarket ignition boxes, with few exceptions, can be used with the duraspark distributor. they all have the needed wiring diagrams included with the box.

Yep, most all EXCEPT the MSD 5. No magnetic triggers allowed.

Or you can watch ebay and snag a used MSD6-series box for $50-75. Solid state doesn't wear out, just make sure you get one with enough wiring to hook up to.

I've gotten both mine off there with no problems.
