While installing a T5 onto a '71 170, I found these pieces rattling around when I removed the bell house to mate adapter. I did not remove clutch plate but everything looked intact and pilot was OK. Clutch worked with old 3 speeed and works OK with T5 but is slippy when hot. I was proofing the 5 Spd fit so not too concerned with clutch then.
Anyone venture to guess what they are :.
I'm suspicious a fairly serious vibration @ 1200 & less @2400.. RPM may be related...
