Took my crossflow block and crank to the machine shop today. The guy wanted to know the standard bore. I have the bore as being 3.68 but he said it would be helpfull to be able to carry it over another number.

Also needs the rod and main diamater and specs.

I have a manual on the way but it could take a week or two and he needs this info asap. By the way this is an 81 4.1 carby.

Stock bore is 3.68 inches, as you said. Can't get away with a hone? Try plus 20 then.

BTW, pull your cam bearings and mic the inside/outside diameters to be sure which set you need. Better now than later.

(Edit) Some specs:

Bore and Stroke (mm) 93.47×99.31
Cam Bearing Set 4C5826 I think. Count number of oil holes.
Rod Bearing Set 6B2150 (suffix "H" for race", "HX" for high RPM race)
Main Bearing Set 7M2158 (Suffixes as for big ends)

Most of these should cross with FedMog part numbers.

FYI, this engine version is No. 33 in the ACL master catalogues.

You can download the .pdf file from their website; it's 640-odd pages.
