well i talked to the guy whos selling the truck and it has a 223-6 whith a 4speed that has a granny gear. So do you think an 82 300 will bolt into this truck?

anything will fit with enough work
i don't think it should be too hard to do this, they probably make swap kits somewhere

the reverse gear is up and to the right. Is that a T-18 trans or something before that? Well anyway i got the truck for $600 has a stright body few rust spots and runs like a champ! Only problem is it feels like it has 4.56 gears or something, it will bark the tire into 3rd perty easy. So i guess next time im in Spokane ill pull the diff cover and investigate the ratio 8)

Will it bolt in? Maybe. The front motor mounts are different, but you can probably make it fit. The transmission will probably bolt in with the correct bell housing. I don't think Ford changed four speed truck transmissions in '65 when they came out with the 240 & 300, so if you get a bell from an early 300 with four speed you can probably make things work.
