So from my poking around this site which I must say AWESOME who new you could do so much with what others considered a lost cause, but back to my topic I have seen many pics and post about multi carb systems ranging from the 2 barrel carbs to triple webers, but now I'm wondering if there would be any gain from useing the old stromburg 97's directly adapted to the log head or these 97's modified for fuel injection mounted in a similar way?

Well, with respect to the old Stromberg 97s, other than a nostalgic look on the engine, no, probably not.

By the way, did you happen to look at the price tag for that EFI set up? You could get one of the new aluminum heads with a 4-barrel intake and the carb for less than you'd pay for that setup by the time you added the necessary head work and fuel system, I think.

.

It is a cool retro - nostalgic look but it is not the same era as the small six engines. The Holley 1Bbl's with glass bowls are era related.

There is an early Comet on Ebay with a Flathead V8 - 97's would look great on the Flathead...
