Hey Everyone,
I recently purched a 67 Fairlane with the 200 in it as my daily driver. I absolutely love it! I've been looking at ways to improve the performance as im sure all of you guys have done. My questoin for now is, have any of you used the intake offered by Dearborn Classics (part # IMA107)? I am a little (ok more than a little) curious about how that would work with the log intake/head one piece design in the 200, and if it would add any real performace upgrade....especially if it costs 350 bucks! Thanks for any info.

Kyle.

Welcome...

But I hate your purst your bubble. That isn't for a 6 cylinder. It's for a 3x2V set up for carbs, or 6V. Only for V-8s.

THere are many viable options. Check out my web page for two of them. THere are many more as you'll find out. Check out posts, and check out people's websites, especially Mustang_Geezer, and Azcoupe.

Welcome to the sickness of the six

Thanks for the welcome...i guess they just misprinted or something because it clearly says 170-200c.i. straight six engine in the description and order description lines. That would explain my confusion. If you are looking at the catalog , the item is at the right hand side of page 175 in the 2004 dearborn classics catalog. THanks again

hmmm...the part number on their site shows an error. I figured maybe you meant IMA107.

They do have exhaust manifold for the 200 at $139.

Does anyone else have the DC catalog?

Kyle and Slade-
I have the 2004 Dearborn Classics catalog and it does indeed state:
"Intake manifold and linkage for th 170 and 200 cubic inch straight six engine. Mounts three 1 barrel carburetors that use a 2 bolt pattern. Features a progressive throttle system and fits either manual or automatic transmission."
part Number IMA 107 $349.95
Page 175
There's a pic that shows 3 carbs on an aluminum base but no mention of how it would be mounted.
When you go to search for that part number on their web page it does not exist.

That would be the intake in questoin...maybe i should shoot an email to DC and ask them about it.
