Not quite the typical Duraspark II question

I've just about got all I need to convert from my 40 year old ignition to the DII. Am buying a new distributor for an 81 Fairmont from Autozone.

Question is this: Will my old hold down and bolt for the old points/load o matic dizzy work for the new one ?
Found a DII dizzy in an 83 stang clunker , but the guy wanted 45 bucks. He didnt know what operating condition it is in, and wouldnt part with just the hold down for it.

Or does anyone know if a hold down/bolt comes with a new distributor. I wouldnt think so since you have to buy a cap/rotor/etc seperate.

In my experience the hold down clamps interchange just fine.

Thanks. I'm sure you are right...I just re checked my bookmark of Joe Trojan's post with the pictures and saw he felt they did as well.

It will work perfect. I lost mine and went out and bought another from autozone, a stupid chrome one and it came loose and fouled up a couple sets of plugs. I finally found the old one and quickly yanked the stupid chrome one off and threw it over our fence, lol.
