Hi,

I've got an oil-filter problem.
It's about a '65 200CI.
Yesterday i've lossened the oil-filter...it was very hard to get it off.
Now I know why...the treath on the adaptor to srew it on is damaged.
It's necessary to replace the adaptor.
I guess it's a bushing screwed in the blok?
Anybody a suggestion how to take this bushing out?
I gonna fabricate a new one on my lathe.

Tnx a lot

kheb geloof ik er nog 1 liggen hier de draad eind die er in past, heb je een shopo manuel book ? staat het wel in anders stuur ik de site wel even

The only block I have here is full of oil! So I can't pull the filter to check, but:

Isn't it an Allen key (large) inside the fitting centre?

I have used easy outs to remove them before. if the old one is dead might as well use a pair of visgrips. since it is not a pipe thread but a plain machine thread you might be able to find a brass bolt or a mild steel bolt or just thread a sectoin of tubing. maybe someone carry's a large allen set screw that could just be drilled out.
