Everyone here understands- or should understand- that they are deviating from stock when they- um devaite from stock. If you don't know what you're doing- or have a pretty a fair idea- go to someone who does, or don't do it. If you'r unwilling to take the risk of a frag, or financially torpedoed if it don't work, don't do it. If you need 8 hands to cjhange a spark plug, don't do it.

I'm a big fan of getting options out there, especially on a motor like this with almost no performance aftermarket, save AzCoupe.

I'm currently building a race engine for type that they made about 20,000 copies, worldwide, in the late 60's. Yes it was that bad. But I'm having a ball, talking to guys in the UK and Germany and Holland who are doing essentially the same thing. Builds a cool sense of community.

Even if I chose to never execute the modification you're describing- well, there are alot of guys willing to invest time and money in these things. Argie heads recast are just an example.

So publish. If the oil pump falls off, it's ultimately the responsibility of the engine builder. He needs to make sure nothing looks screwy- if it does, he needs to stop and figure out what's goping on.
