OZ head carb / induction suggestions

I've been running my Weber 38 DGAS 2bbl carb for several years now. The common problem I've been having is finding someone that knows how to tune them.
I'm ready to start princing other carbs / TBI systems to get an idea of what I'm kind of improvements I can get as for tunability and cost.
I would like to eventually pick up AzCoupes Alu head so I'm looking for a carb / TBI that will fit and function on the OZ head and the Alu head.

Short of buying some adaptors (and possible having hood clearance issues), I would maybe take it to a fabrication shop you trust, have them open it up and weld on a 4V Holly carb base. That's essentially what I had done (had a friend with access to a CNC machine to make a base plate).

There are adaptors to go from the webber to a holley 2V. Try Mr. Gasket's website...it has all sorts of adaptors.
