I had some clearance issues and still do with the vac 465 4 brl I have on the way in the mail. It would have been better with a DP carby as the vac sec spring housing on a 4 brl potrudes too far towards the booster (which is already shortened 45mm). The carb in the pick is a 500 Holley just to give me some idea how the 465 would sit.
I removed a large section off the top of the manifold before welding the base plate on to keep it low and level as I also had limmited height available. I re-sealed the water jackets before welding the base on. The manifold warped "slightly"when it was welded. The 4th pick shows the manifold before it was patched up.

good job, great to see you doing a 2v.i realy like them,i had a 250 2v in a tc then in a te and found that a stock tf booster bracket sits back near the firewall where the others tc-te stick out alot further so i put a tf booster bracket and brake rod on my te and it worked perfect and had no clearance probs.it will pump with a 4 barrel although i shouldn't be supprised as the 250 2v stock has the most hp of all the ford pushrod sixes!
