piston ring install

I was installing the oil rings on one of my pistons and noticed that the rings are very tight on the piston, the oil expander ring has a very large gap between the ends and the top oil ring sits all the way inside the piston. the pistons are 30 over and the box of rings say 30 over on the box.

You should always check the end gap of each ring in its respective cylinder to check for proper clearance.
If the end gap is per specs install on piston & install.
Any further questions please respond. The end gap is a very critical evaluation of engine assembly.
