Prettying up the Falcon engine.

I saw this valve cover for sale on eBay recently, and it got me thinking about valve covers (or maybe I already was, since I must have plugged "Falcon Valve Cover" into eBay to find it):

I think Offenhauser once made a finned valve cover for these engines, and I know Edelbrock did. I think these are both long out of production, and have no idea how much they would cost.

I really like the finned model produced by the folks at Classic Inline:

I also really like the block-script F O R D stamped steel valve cover that was used on the early model engines. Alas, I don't have one, as somebody swapped in a later engine with the Power by Ford valve cover. This is an okay valve cover, but reminds me more of 1970s trucks, than a 1961 passenger car. Maybe painted differently with the script highlighted, it might look better, but the font and graphic design elements just don't say "Kennedy Era" to me.

I absolutely love this home-cast Nailhead valve cover, done by a HAMBster from Finland, and I wish something with this type of finning existed for the small six:

What other options are there? Anybody got a nice-looking engine they'd like to show off to me?

As I type this, I've considered digging up a blank stamped valve cover (they're out there, both as OE Ford stuff and as chrome aftermarket), and bolting on a "Comet" fender badge for that hot "I've got a Mercury mill" look.

Actually, I prefer my cast-aluminum accessories to be as-cast, rather than polished. I just snagged the black-crinkle photo, because it was easiest.

Heh...you'd have to furnish the pictures after you had it made.

Plenty pics of fabbed valve covers for SBCs and etc on google to get the idea

Sorry, I don't have a sheet metal rocker cover or have any pictures of one for the small six.

It would be a bit more tedious to make than a SBC rocker cover due to all the goofy radii Ford put in the design. Maybe a guy could section up pieces of Aluminum pipe to make thse segments?
