Quest for 6 cylinder car in late 40's to late 50's for wife

I am looking for recommendations for a car for my Wife. I need something that is in pretty good shape that it is still passable to get most parts for & can be adapted to the newer brake systems tilt wheel & power steering etc.

Probably a coupe from the 40's. I showed her some pictures of fords & Chevy's form the 40's & that is what she likes.
