Do 200's make noise normally? I'll try to get a recording of it. Maybe it's normal...

Which 2-barrel are you guys most familiar with?

This is for 71 Maverick...

I could check but I think most engines make noise 8)

Some of the 200 were solid lifters and they may make more noise than others but they should be relatively quite.. It would be nice if you could get a recording of the noise so we could hear it if you can't discribe it..
Lifter, exhaust, belts, waterpump ect.... an exhaust leak can sound like a lifter you know a tic, tic, tic, type of noise.
