i need to drain my tranny! i cant find a plug for drainage! there is a black rubber grommet in the corner but i cant get it out and am not sure if i want to force it...can anyone tell me if there is a drain plug...or do i need to level out the car and just lower the pan??? thanks for any help....its raining so i want to get this done fairly fast....

sorry its a C4 tranny!!!

You have to remove the pan. Remove all but one bolt on the front and one on the rear. Loosen them. Then pry the pan a bit to loosen. Remove one of the bolts and tip the pan so that it drains out.

Messy Job! Install a drain plug to make the next time easier!

thanks alot jack....i'll install a plug too...thanks again....*my firt time doing anything to the tranny so i'm new at it...has anyone installed a shift improver kit....its a bunch of gaskets and springs for the valvebody...i was thinking of doing something like that later on this year...its pretty cheap...like 25 bucks from JEGS...
