Scavenger deposits again

Winter gas started pumping September 15th and, like clockwork, the Squire started running poorly. Just down on mpg at first, then a few misses under acceleration, then a lot of misses. So, I pulled the plugs, just like last winter around this time, and the year before.
Yup, scavenger deposits. Some of the worst yet, too. I remembered to take pictures this time.

The plugs are in order 1-6. You can see the leaner/hotter cylinders don't crud up as much as the perfect mixture 2, 5, cylinders. The 3, 4 cylinders showed evidence of gobs that had been knocked loose and then reformed, maybe a few times. They are as bad (or worse) around the center electrode and insulator as the 2/5 plugs. I pulled the plugs last July after some minor mixture adjustments and they were clean, a nice light tan. No globs. So I'm convinced it's winter gas additives.
I don't know what kind of toxic waste the oil companies are disposing of in winter gas, but it needs a -hot- combustion chamber to keep deposits from forming.

An MSD box will help keep the plugs clean. While some auto engineers have told me that an MSD box will not add anything to performance versus a well tuned ignition, my experience is that it will keep the ignition from deteriorating as fast. I have MSD boxes on one car that runs rich due to overcarburettion and the plugs have not been changed in 10 years. Prior to that, it would foul out in under 3000 miles.
