Sealed Power Part Numbers

0ne piston versus four ?

You will be .011 in the hole more than oem piston . 1.511 for stock 1.5 for 2.3 compression heigth.

That’s what I was thinking, the difference is a package of 4 vs. 1. The machine shop is calling for 20 thousands over. The 489P20 should be the right ones, if I can’t confirm, I’ll call Monday morning to Fed-Mog and verify.

Confirmed (at least to my satisfaction) the W stands for singles. I was finally able to login to the fed-mog search and it contains enough details to conclude that W is a single piston. I've included the link for reference. Also, the pistons listed are for a late 80's Tempo, which is what the Ford Falcon Performance Handbook uses for it's flat top piston upgrade. Part numbers are as follows
Sealed Power W489P - Sealed Power Cast Pistons (individuals). Sealed Power E-465K - Sealed Power Performance Piston Ring Sets (comes in sets of four, you'll need two sets total and these are the Moly Premium Sets). For Non-Moly, use standard Set E-465X.

**Note, I highly encourage you doing your own research!

you can use the regular 6 cylinder piston ring set instead of getting 2 sets of 4.
the dimensions of the rings are identical.
