Hi,

What's the weight of a stock 78 head complete with valve train? How about the best way to have one shipped cross country, California to Southern Maryland.

Thanks

Bob

P.S. Put the sound system in this weekend. Sweeet!!! Stevie Ray and Eric Clapton thru two 10" subs and two 6 x 9's drivin by a 600W amp....... oh my.
I know, I started my restoratiion with a sound system instead of the enginge, suspension, driveline but at least I don't have to listen to the ricer's buzz now.

not a clue
but, unless you've already paid for the head, you might wanna look at this thread
http://fordsix.com/forum/viewtopic.php? ... highlight=

after '69 the 200 and the 250 heads were the same thing, so you don't have to worry about that, the only problem i can see would be the exhaust bolts, but getting them removed is a pretty cheap operation

$15 plus gas for there and back isn't that bad of a deal, just depends on where in southern MD you're at

Thanks for the thread asa67. I've seen that one and I'm thinking of picking it up for my next one, dual two barrel direct mount set-up. This one that I'm thinking of has all the goodies, clifford divider, large valves, port n polish. So if I can get it shipped without it costing me an arm and a leg it may be worth it.

Thanks Ragtopman not to good with the searches. I appreciate you guys answering the same questions over n over n over n over again.

Clifford or Stovebolt
350 or 500
single or dual outlet
how to dura spark
dura spark or pertronix

All questions that I've ask that have been answered in detail for me and many many others on the forum.

That's what makes this place so great.

Bob

ahh, that indeed does make a difference
better hurry though, looks like Gary's seen it and i think he's a bit rabid about getting his going ;)
