I own a Ford Fairlane Victoria 1955 with a I6 223 engine manufactured in 1954. According to the Shop Manual, I am supposed to install Champion #870 spark plugs. Unfortunately, those plugs are obsolete.

I visited the champion website and everything is confused. They recommand to install RF11YC items, my engine has J8Y and the part finder of Champion suggests the RH18Y.

Could you help !!!! What to install ?

Thanks

Assuming you do NOT have the taper seat plugs you need Champion H-10 spark plugs. They are sold under part number 844. An alternative is Autolite 216 plugs. I prefer the Champions.

My 1950 Chilton's manual cross references the Champion H-10 plug with an AC 45 and an Autolite AL-7. Also an Edison HC-42.
