stock air cleaner not clearing monte carlo bar

I have a 1966 mustang, 200 cu engine, autolite 1100 carb. Last evening I installed a new export brace and the curved type of monte carlo bar. My problem is that now the stock air cleaner will not clear the monte carlo bar, it is pretty close to fitting maybe 1/2 to 1 inch in the way. Any ideas on a slighly smaller diameter air cleaner.
I just got off the phone with a customer service rep. for Scott Drake, they make an open air style air cleaner, their part numbers C4DZ-9600 and C4DZ-9600-W but they could not give me the diameter of this product. Has anyone purchased one of these? Would you please measure its diameter. Thanks Lowell

Look up K&N online. They have a ton of different sizes in round oval, oblong, etc. Surely one will fit.
It's where I got the little filter on my Carb in my avatar. They had every size imaginable. Get the part # and order exactly what you need.
Also do a search as this question has been posted here before.
