Finaly bit the bulet after my second headgasket blow. 12psi is just a bit much 4 the stock gasket it seems, got a 40thou copper gasket on the way and was just wondering whether the rumour about corrosion with the alloy head is true? I'm totaly in luv with the power i just need confidence that when i drive it long and hard its still gonna be reliable, havent dyno'd yet but im guessin about 250-280rwhp. Home made engine management for $200 was well worth it to ditch the stock injectors and up the boost with a set of 300cc items hehehehe :) cant wait to make it reliable

You can try Cometic brand gaskets.....shipping is kind of high but possibly worth it?

Might want to double check all surfaces for flatness. I ran much more psi with no problems. Do you still have head bolts or did you change to studs?

Why not just o-ring the head with 40 thou steel wire as I have done. I have only run normal head gaskets and bolts and have used over 18 psi with absolutely no problems. A normal machine shop will know what to do. If they don't, find another shop.

Surfaces are all spot on, yea its No. 6 that keeps blowing so leaning out would b the prob mostly, running standard head bolts and 1mm copper so we'll c how it goes. No shops in tassie will o-ring the head, block only and im not pulling it out again after ive just re-built it. Bought a digital fuel adjuster and hand controller so ill play with my new bigger injecteros hehe

If it continues to be a problem, just get ARP head studs
