So after paying 100 bucks for a 200 engine, c4 tranny, a/c compressor, p/s pump and all the brackets, I ended up spending $300 to get the thing. Uhaul rental, gas and tolls. The truck I was going to use wasn't available and I had to get it this weekend. Oh well. I guess it is still a decent price overall. The whole assembly is a wreck. It has been in the rain for a little time. Should I rebuild this engine to use in my 66 or should I use the original engine in my 66? I am not sure which one would be the better engine. This one came out of a 68 mustang. It is basically the whole drive train still bolted together. What should I start with to begin rebuilding it? I already had the tranny in my 66 rebuilt, so I will probably use that. I plan on rebuilding the one I got today, for a rainy day, or in case someone else could benefit from it. What I ultimately want is to have a good looking, good running eninge in the stang, and to then take the other one and get wild. Maybe chop the log, fab up a new intake and go boost, but that is all for later.

that sucks
you coulda prolly gotten it all in a full-size truck if you knew anyone that had one...

i'd rebuild the '68
the one in the 'stang is running good right now, right? not given you any problems
so take the '68 and go psycho on that MoFo

The 66 engine has a wild vibration I've been tracking for months. It is going back to the tranny shop so that they can relook their work. It does run good though, just shakes the hell outta the car.
