Torque Spec for Camshaft Thrust Plate and locktite yes or no

I misplaced my camshaft thrust plate and bolts. I finally purchased a new plate and bolts. I have searched for the torque specs for these retainer bolts and can't find them. Does anyone know the correct torque and should I put on locktite, red or blue?

I have also purchased Grade 8 5/16 bolts. The heads look like they will clear the timing gear.

Any help appreciated.

I would think between 15-20 lbs, fine thread on the slightly tighter side....

I don't know which loctite......Probably dont have to use it- I rarely do, but it cant hurt; Im sure either will do just fine...

Good luck

Ford's generic spec for torques if none is specified for a particular fastener are:
5/16-18NC: 17-24 ft-lbs.
5/16-24NF : 19-27 fl-lbs.

Generic fastener supplier's torques for Gr. 8 are:
5/16-18NC: 18 ft-lbs.
5/16-24NF : 20 fl-lbs.

Use only BLUE Loctite if you want to ever be able to disassemble the fastener without using a torch. Red ia permanent and takes a lot of heat to break it down.

The 289 thrust plate is 10 ft lbs, fyi. Most fastener failures are from over torque. I am doing 10 with blue lock tight.

What engine are we talking about? For a small six my Chilton's book says 12-15 FT LBS They are 5/16''-18 and I would do blue lock-tight.
