TransDapt carb adapters

Has anyone used one of these carb adapters for a Holley 2300 on their 200 CIDs? It is supposed to orient it correctly. However, I believe it requires the original spacer. That may create a hood clearance problem.

Here is the link. Go to page 2 of the pdf.

Actually, you need to go here:

the page you sent is the "parent" frame of the PDF that you want people to see. Actually, here is the image block from the PDF:

This adapter indicates the centers are 2 5/8" and Cliffords has them listed as 2 3/4". Close enough?

Educate me...why would it REQUIRE the original spacer? Just to orient it correctly?

This is a great review of the Clifford and Stovebolt adapters:

i just went up to clifford the other day to get the adaptor for the weber 32/36. the spacing of the bolt holes on the clifford not 2 3/4, they seemt ohave just approximated it at that. so that's not an exact number. i measured mine and they were not 2 3/4, but close so when i went up to clifford i took my orignial spacer and sure enough the holes lined up.

Bryce,

I think without the original adapter the bolt pattern is offset somewhat. The first couple of images from the website you mentioned actually shows the intake without the adapter (offset) and with the adapter (correct set), with respect to the Trandapt adapter bolt pattern.

p.s. Thanks for loading the image for me.
