Had the old 250 apart for a few mounths now, its still going to be street driven im just turning to a more environmentaly friendly fuel (thats what ill tell the coppers).
So far the up grade has included 16 gallen fuel cell, 2 bosch 984 fuel pumps, bosch 1600 cc grey top injectors (may have to use smalelr ones), 14:1 comp (removed decomp plates and extra head gasket, Major head porting (will have piks soon).
Yup turning to methanol, its cheaper around 180 for a 205 litre drum, makes more power, likes bigger compression.. And u dont need an inter cooler if i ever wanted to turbo it..
IM hoping the latest mods should see an 11sec na pass... but who knows..
ill post some piks of the set up when its finished

mmmm methnol nice but make sure you flush it out if its going to sit for more then a week with out running.
so only running 14:1 i thought you whould be going around 16:1 to make full advantage or you running a little boost to?
where you getting the head done and what roughly are the flow figures of our head?
also you got a dry chem fire extinguisher to?

hey there, going to keep it NA for as long as i can, but aventually it becomes way to costly to stay NA to run decently fast times. Turbo and methanol are defently on the cards 5-8 with 14:1 comp (hmm hand grenade i think) Ive got a small fire extinguisher dry chem, but thinking mabie 2 would be better.
Goin to set the fuel cell up so i can drain the mthanol from it, and run some regualar petrol through the fuel system to keep it all hapy when not getting used.
FLow figures before this round of head porting wernt all that good 127cfm @450lift at 10 inches, and i think the exhaust was 110 cfm@10inch..
ill let u know how it ends up

hey
how much port work over stock where those flow figures.
yeah 2 fire is best with mehnol.
what you running for fuel line? copper
what hp did it make before the pull down and where it make it.
did you do much to the combustion chambers or just cc'd them
so you going to bolt a m90 blower on it or go the turbo later on.

The head was originaly a C2... its been modded as per photo.. Its pretty much all done now flowed 148cfm@10inch 380-390HP after proting which isnt to bad.. a stocker is around 105@10inch..
ive made gains in Head flow, Compresion, and fuel type.
The aim is to run a decent 11 sec pass NA ... i went and got some quotes on getting some Big pipe extractors made but its all starting to get way to dear for the gain im goign to see at the track.. So once its all together and going and im over it again its defently copping some form of boostage more than likely turbo, should work mint with a 4200 stall..

hey
is that with the new head work done? do you have flow figures for the new head work and at what lift?
also where abouts was it done?
and what valves you running big clevo 2.1in inlet 1.7in exhaust?
drift

2.1 & 1.7 won't fit into crossflow head most guys use 1.85 & 1.55-1.60.

They were turned down clevo intake valves... im 99 percent sure 1.97 rings a bell for some reason... Been a few years since i had them fitted.. I defently couldnt see bigger valves fitting in the head as all ready the ones in this head ae dam close to each other.... .

hey
thanks i got a head at the shop at moment as the corty has done a head gasket probly due to corrosion  so ill get them to take a look and see how big they reckon the get to fit.
