just wondering i no the valves for a chevy fit the 300 but what about valves from a 302 or 351

The first use of SBC valves in a Ford was not in the 300 but in the 289. For several years a little known speed secret.

So any Ford head with the same diameter stem and reasonable close to the 289 valve length would interchange.

If i remember correctly, the SBF vales are not 11/32" stems. The SBC and the 300 are. I ordered some stainless 1.94, 1.60 valves for a SBC at the shortest length i could find through Summit Racing. The 300 valves are shorter than all the valves listed for the SBC...but the shortest SBC valves will work.

I don't think you remember correctly, should be same stem size, just different in length, sbf will work in the 300, have some and they fit. Alex

ohh yes, you are correct. Not VALVES... SBF ROCKER ARMS....that is what does not fit on a 300

so i can get the valves for a 302 that my buddy was gona use in his engine but decided not to so the valve stem diameter is the same right?

just wondering what size is the stock valves for an 81 302 are they bigger the the 300 are they the same size or are they smaller?
thanks for your help

IF I remember right the intakes are the same dia. The exh on the 300 are larger. When you look at valvesize comparied to cubic inches the 300 are much smaller than most any other engine.
