Weiand Supercharged 300?

If your goal is 300 hp, 19# injectors won't cut it and without a target specific cam you won't reach 300 hp with 6-8 psi of boost, if you want to call it good for 200-225 with what you have mentioned with #24 injectors and stay below 5k, you can probably continue, after that everything gets expensive, plus I haven't heard about a rotating assembly balance, I may have missed it, but its the first thing I have done on a performance oriented six.

Broncitis is exactly right about the whole fuel thing

FWIW 19# injectors flow at about 23# with the higher rate FPR of a 300 so assuming a 90% duty cycle and a .55 BSFC for a supercharged engine your 19# units limit out at about:

(23 * 6 * 0.9)/.55 = 225 HP

At 55 PSI, 24# injectors will flow about 29# and limit out at about 285 HP.

At 8 PSI you're not going to be anywhere near 300 unless you spin the pee out of the poor thing. Ignoring heat losses which you cannot do, the theoretical HP of an otherwise stock engine at 3500 RPM is only

(14.7+8)/14.7 x 150 = 231 HP

The cam and yor other mods probably add 30 HP give or take to a N/A engine so with the blower somewhere around 275 HP.

well i guess 225-275 isn't so bad being that im looking for a nice size TQ rate at low rpms. i give up chasing HP this is crazy... so i guess in a year or 2 hyper. pistons bigger injectors and a S/C will be my final mods, thank you guys

Its been enjoyable visiting the subject with the folks here, the 300 is my favorite engine, although I have put alot into a 200CI lately, all I know is there is a point when the numbers and dollars start turning north and the gains keep getting smaller and smaller the higher the dollars get.
